Hello! I’m back for 2025 after a much-needed week off. January has come tumbling down with fear, joy. opportunity and inconsistent funds. This newsletter, however, will remain consistent. I am back for another year. Keep your eyes peeled for a new section below!
To those of you who are new here: Thank you, welcome and I love you. Add to List is my Sunday round-up. It the some small things that brought me joy, evoked an emotional reaction or became some short-lived stability since last week.
Obsession
Girls.
It’s been here before and it’s back here again. I can’t quite describe how much I will mourn this show when I’ve finished it. I am a mere few episodes from the finale. I cannot describe how much Lena Dunham has wizzed up my heart and mind in a blender just before the end.
I want to scream and cry and laugh all at once. It’s bleak, it’s brave, it’s brilliant. I think about these characters daily as if they are real people I know. Hannah Horvath is very special to me; I will miss her very much.
Confession
D(ai)ry January.
I think I’ve eaten more cheese in January than I did at Christmas? Special shout out to this blue cheese and truffle honey course at Lympstone Manor this weekend. Wow.
Shook
Timmy Chal on a Lime bike.
Read a detailed rant and rave on his bizarre anti-press movement below.
Cook
In addition to the cheese — January has been a lot of overnight oats and plates of leafy greens. But, I did manage to squeeze in a meal at Kolamba East on Friday night.
Particularly mention to their soft shell crab and the roasted pineapple curry. Sublime.
Look
(This is a new one for 2025 — intended to force me into being more fashionable.)
This week’s browsing featured A LOT of cardigans. This one from Sezane had a higher than average dwell time.
Book
After my brief hiatus out of reading this winter, this book has landed me right back in the reading swing of things with its conversational, comic voice and important themes of grief, loss, burnout and bravery.
Also incredibly lucky to have got my hands on a pre-release copy of
’s How Do I Tell You, which publishes next week! Nicola always writes serious topics with heart, sparkle and joy. I can’t wait to read. Review coming soon. Can’t Stop Scanning
Traitors content.
Team Alexander. (And as always, team Claud).
Forward Planning
Dog sitting!
My first day with my new darling god-dog will be on Wednesday. Excited to hit up the common with him and a coffee. I’m ready to get my poop-scoop chic on.
His name is Roy and he’s promised to be a very loyal wingmandog. Woof.
Loving the k9 !
I so look forward to Sundays when I get to read your incredible articles
Thank you
